The Ridgewood YMCA summer camp is is ON! Camp starts July 6th. Now more than ever, kids need camp! Under the guidance from Governor Murphy, camps have been given the green light to run this summer providing all social distance measures are taken to ensure the safety of children and staff. We are meticulously planning our procedures and policies to address the following areas:
Welcome to the Ridgewood YMCA Summer Day Camps! We believe the values and skills learned early on are the building blocks for the future and we are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for your camper. We are committed to helping children strengthen their abilities to set reasonable goals and encourage them to interact with their fellow campers in a respectful manner and to have FUN.
Building confidence by accomplishing goals! Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. Few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities. Our camps teach self-reliance and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership, amidst the fun of sports, art, games, outdoor adventure, water activities and meaningful relationships. Plus, our specialized instructors in STEM, arts and crafts, swim and sports are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper.
