Caretakers Support Group for Neurodegenerative Diseases

Our Caretaker Support Group is meant to provide a welcoming and safe environment for caretakers of individuals with neurodegenerative diseases to share experiences and feelings. Participants may also learn coping skills, stress management methods, and self-care techniques so that they can continue to provide crucial, quality care for those in need.

Caretaker Support Group meets on the first Monday of each month, and is open to members and non-members.

Hospital for Special Surgery Presents: Causes and Treatment for Common Shoulder Conditions

HSS experts James Carr (MD, Sports Medicine Surgeon), and Allan Trinidad (PT, DPT, OCS, CNMT, NMSK-DN, Physical Therapy) will guide you through a lecture, demonstration, and Q+A that will help

  • identify common shoulder conditions seen in older adults and their impact on daily function
  • explore treatment options, including non-surgical and surgical approaches, for managing shoulder conditions
  • learn effective exercises and strategies to improve shoulder mobility, strength, and reduce discomfort

YMCA Camp Bernie Summer Camp Open House

The Ridgewood YMCA Parkinson’s Walk is more than just a walk—it’s a gathering of community to connect, learn, fundraise, and celebrate.

Participate in the 1.1-mile walk that loops Bergen County Wild Duck Pond, enjoy specialized programming from local Parkinson’s groups and advocates, and connect with industry representatives, community partners, and Parkinson’s experts to learn about valuable resources for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.

The 2025 Ridgewood Run by North Jersey Masters Running Club

Veterans Memorial Field

The Ridgewood Run®, a spirited day of multiple outdoor running events promoting health, wellness, family and community, is the perfect way to kick off summer. It is produced by the North Jersey Masters Running Club, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and since 1976, has taken place annually every Memorial Day, in the Village of Ridgewood. In addition to drawing local and county residents, the race attracts thousands of participants, volunteers and spectators from across New Jersey, the tri-state area and beyond.

Four distinct events provide the center of activity in a festive, open-park atmosphere, including a 10K, 5K, a 1 Mile Run and the Ridgewood YMCA Kids Fun Run. All course are USATF certified.

Exciting things are planned for 2025!
