Assistant Preschool Teacher
We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic part-time Assistant Teacher to join our preschool program. This is a hands-on opportunity to support young children’s growth—socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically—while learning alongside an experienced Head Teacher. You’ll help prep activities, offer one-on-one support, assist with daily routines, and help guide the group through a fun and enriching school day. Membership Representative
As a Membership Representative, you’ll be the welcoming face of the Y—greeting members, guests, and program participants both in person and over the phone with warmth and care. You’ll help prospective members feel at home by providing informative tours and guiding them through the membership process, while maintaining a clean and inviting lobby space. By fostering meaningful connections among members and encouraging involvement in programs and volunteer opportunities, you’ll help strengthen our community. You’ll also handle membership questions and concerns with patience and professionalism, always ensuring YMCA policies are followed. This role is all about creating an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone feels valued and connected.
Personal Trainer
Personal Trainers at the Ridgewood YMCA have the rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients of all ages and abilities. This role goes beyond delivering workouts—it’s about building meaningful connections and designing personalized training plans that help clients achieve goals like boosting strength, improving wellness, supporting weight loss, or enhancing quality of life. Trainers are responsible for assessing client needs, creating customized workout plans, and providing guidance in a supportive and encouraging environment. Fitness Center Floor Staff
Fitness Floor Staff at the Ridgewood YMCA help create a positive, supportive environment by assisting members with equipment use, promoting proper form, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the fitness center. This role is a great fit for individuals beginning their path in the fitness field who are eager to gain experience while working with a diverse population, especially older adults. Ideal candidates are friendly, attentive, and enjoy building connections while helping members feel confident, comfortable, and safe during their workouts.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Massage Therapists at the Ridgewood YMCA provide personalized therapeutic massage and bodywork to a diverse client base, supporting overall wellness and stress relief. This role involves working independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and customer service. Ideal candidates are licensed in New Jersey, experienced in multiple massage modalities, and comfortable working with a variety of populations, including those with specialized needs.
Pool Deck Lifeguard
Lifeguards on the Pool Deck are responsible for creating a safe and welcoming aquatic environment. This includes maintaining vigilant supervision of all pool areas to ensure the safety of swimmers and other facility users. Responsibilities include enforcing pool rules, administering first aid when necessary, and performing water rescues as needed. Lifeguards maintain constant and proactive surveillance of the pool and surrounding deck areas to ensure a secure environment for all participants.
