WELCOME TO THE RIDGEWOOD YMCA!
At the Ridgewood Y, we’re guided by the YMCA’s four pillars—caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility—we live our cause of strengthening communities with purpose and intentionality every day.
As a nonprofit charitable organization, we have been committed to serving youth, adults, and families across Northern New Jersey and the Camp Bernie area since 1902, as part of the worldwide YMCA movement. The Ridgewood Y offers programs and community connections that positively impact lives through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, building spirit, mind, and body for all.
The Ridgewood YMCA is made up of two locations:
The Oak Street Branch, proudly serving the community from the heart of downtown Ridgewood, NJ since 1902, is home to our fitness centers, aquatics facility, and association offices.
YMCA Camp Bernie, just an hour away in Port Murray, NJ, has been our beloved overnight summer camp and outdoor education center since 1956—offering generations of campers a place to connect with nature, learn, and grow.

Financial Aid
We believe the opportunity to gain personal growth from our programming should be accessible to everyone regardless of financial situation or socioeconomic status. Our Membership for All program ensures that nobody is turned away because of inability to pay.
