training
As part of our ongoing commitment to athlete safety, we are asking all parents and athletes to complete the Safe Sport and Athlete Protection Training offered through USA Swimming. This free training is required for all volunteers, coaches, members, and athletes age 18 and older. In addition, we are requiring all athletes ages 5 -17 to complete the age-appropriate training as well.
The courses are designed to be accessible and relevant: athletes 12-and-under take a 20-minute session, while athletes 13 and older have a slightly longer version. Parents’ training takes less than an hour, and your progress is saved is you need to pause and return later. Topics include being a good teammate, anti-bullying education, and safety in athletic facilities.
We ask that all trainings be completed by November 1st. Please reach out if you have any questions or need assistance.
Directions for each can be found below. I have also attached instructions for navigating the various profiles as these trainings must be completed under the correct person profile – or they will not count.
