Ridgewood YMCA Preschool is open to students who turn 2½ by September 1st of the year of enrollment. Children must be toilet trained prior to the start of school.

When is the enrollment period?
The Ridgewood Y Preschool has rolling enrollment, which means you are welcome to register at any point during the year—it’s never too late to join the class!

What are the schedule options?
We have full and half-day options available 3-5 days a week, with before and after care offered for parents/guardians who require extended days.

My child has a severe allergy. Will they be safe?
We are a nut-free school and have several staff members who are Epipen certified.

What is my child experiencing day-to-day?
The preschool classroom environment and materials encourage learning through curriculum-driven, hands-on projects and purposeful play in a nurturing and secure environment. Daily activities include circle time, themed activities, outdoor recess, play centers, academically integrated project work, and quiet time. Students enjoy specialty classes in music, arts + crafts, STEAM, PE, Social Emotional Learning and Spanish classes throughout the week.

Can I use the Y facility?
Yes! Preschool enrollment includes a household membership to the Ridgewood Y. Take a look at our programs and special events to explore our offerings and find something for everyone in the family.

Is Financial Aid Assistance available?

Early childhood education should be accessible to all children regardless of financial situation or socioeconomic status. Our Financial Aid for All program assures that nobody is turned away because of inability to pay.
