HOLA, WELCOME TO SPANISH!

Set your little explorer on the right path with our Spanish classes. Our classes help kids ages 3 to 8 years learn the Spanish language and culture. Learning another language is not only a practical life skill, it also encourages openness to new experiences and furthers appreciation of another culture.

YOUTH SPANISH (Ages 4-10)

Introducing a fun and active way to learn a new language! Our classes include music, movement, color, pictures and associations, pronunciation, lots of games and practical conversation to help your child learn in a fun and engaging way.

Goldfish (Beginner) | Mondays: 3:15-4:15PM

Dolphins (Intermediate) | Saturdays: 11:00AM-12:00PM

Sharks  (Advanced) | Saturdays: 10:00AM-11:00PM

 

Meet Ms. Claudia

My name is Claudia Neville, or Ms. Claudia, and I am originally from Colombia. I love being able to teach our young explorers new and exciting things in my native language, Spanish. Teaching has been an important part of my life and I’ve been doing it for more than 10 years in the USA, with the past two years at our Ridgewood YMCA Preschool. Our Spanish Enrichment Program utilizes a Total Physical Response (TPR) approach for kids K-3rd grades. It is a comprehensive and FUN way to learn a new language. We use TPRS (teaching Proficiency through reading and storytelling). The program incorporates music, movement, color, pictures and associations, pronunciation and reading skills, and more!
