Spencer Campbell, a Ridgewood High School senior, was elected to Ridgewood YMCA’s Board of Directors.
Spencer Campbell was elected to serve a one-year term on the YMCA’s Board of Directors, which sets strategic direction and policy to guide the Ridgewood Y with the resources and support it needs to strengthen community.
Campbell, a Ridgewood resident, is currently a senior at Ridgewood High School and has been active in fundraising activities for the Ridgewood High School Crew Team. He is a current member of the Student Government and was also named a delegate to Boys State. Campbell also volunteers in the Civic Youth Corps, a local town group that aspires to engage youth for a lifetime commitment to rewarding service while promoting civic engagement and responsibility in local government. Campbell’s father, Bill Campbell, served on the Ridgewood YMCA’s Board of Directors from 2007-2010.
When asked to comment on what it means to him to join the Board, Campbell said;
“I hope to be able to provide some insight that could assist the Board and YMCA leadership to help make the organization more attractive and relevant to teenagers in our community. I will apply my leadership skills to help organize fundraisers and encourage other young people to participate in YMCA events.”

Spencer’s unique point of view will provide our Board with relevant information that will help us to expand and strengthen our focus on youth development in the communities that we serve.
