Mark Balian was elected to serve a three-year term on the YMCA’s Board of Directors, which sets strategic direction and policy to guide the Ridgewood Y with the resources and support it needs to strengthen community.
Balian, a Ridgewood resident, is currently a Partner, at Wells, Jaworkski & Liebman, LLP in Paramus. Balian practices in the Tax, Trusts, and Estates and Business and Commercial areas of laws. When asked to comment on what it means to him to join the Board, Balian said;
“Joining the Board of the Ridgewood YMCA will provide the opportunity to bring to the table my years of legal experience and education and assist the Y and its Board in making well-advised and informed decisions from a unique and valuable perspective. The Ridgewood Y has so much to offer not only to our own community, but in countries like Haiti where we are helping to make a positive impact with programs and support for the people there. This is a chance for me to give back in a very meaningful way.”
“We are pleased to welcome Mark as a new member of the Board of Directors, said Ernest Lamour, CEO of the Ridgewood YMCA. His professional expertise and commitment to give back to the community he lives in will help the board to continue to strengthen the lives of the people we serve in Bergen County and beyond.”
