F.I.T. TOGETHER AT THE YMCA
JULY 6 - AUGUST 24

Fitness Independence Training (F.I.T.) is specifically designed to improve the fitness, coordination, socialization, self-confidence and independence of older adolescents and young adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This small group STEP Aerobics exercise class meets twice a week for 8 weeks from July 6-August 24.

F.I.T. is specifically designed for people with ASD who have sufficient communication and self-help skills to independently participate. It is not appropriate for individuals with significant behavioral or sensory challenges. Volunteer peer mentors will support and encourage participants.

Here is an opportunity to be an integral part of one of golf’s most exciting events and help the Ridgewood YMCA. The 2010 Barclays tees off the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup on August 24 - 29 at the beautiful Ridgewood Country Club.

RIDGEWOOD YMCA 37TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
SEPTEMBER 20TH AT KNICKERBOCKER COUNTRY CLUB

The 37th Annual Ridgewood YMCA Golf Outing will be held on Monday, September 20th at Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, NJ. All money raised during the event supports the Ridgewood YMCA's Good Works Programs.

Eleven finalists will also qualify for the Park Avenue BMW Putt-Off and the chance to win a free 3 month lease on a new BMW.

RIDGEWOOD YMCA TRAVEL BASKETBALL TEAM
OCTOBER TRYOUTS | AGES 10-14

The Ridgewood YMCA travel team plays a winter season schedule in the NJ YMCA Basketball League. The season consists of scheduled practices and home and away games. Basketball players ages 10-14 are welcome to attend tryouts in October.

YOUR PATH TO GOOD HEALTH
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 27TH | 4:00-8:00PM

The Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce presents the 2nd annual: "Your Path to Good Health" at the Ridgewood YMCA. The day will include Flu Shots (pre-registration necessary) along with screenings such as blood pressure, diabetes, skin cancer and oral cancer. Service providers and local businesses will also be on hand to provide free info on keeping you healthy. Door prizes and discounts will be available!

Child Watch : A Drop-in Child Care Service for Members!
You know your children are safe and happy in Child Watch while at the YMCA. This program is available for members while they are participating in classes, swimming, working out or attending meetings at our Oak Street location. LIVING STRONG, LIVING WELL
Living Strong, Living Well is a free 12-week strength and fitness program designed especially for cancer patients and survivors who have recently become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. Developed by Stanford University, this innovative program helps participants build muscle mass and strength, increase flexibility and endurance, improve functional ability, reduce severity of therapy side effects, prevent unwanted weight changes and improve energy levels and self esteem. PRISM
Prism is a free and confidential support group for parents whose children are enrolled in the YMCA Rainbows program. The purpose is for these parents to understand and process their own grief, become more attuned to their children’s grief, and recreate family again. Click here for more information.

RAINBOWS
Rainbows is a free and confidential peer support program (not therapy or counseling) that provides a bridge to emotional healing for children facing divorce, separation, death, abandonment or other painful family transition. The goal is the healthy resolution of the grieving process in an atmosphere of safety, confidentiality and caring. Click here for more information.
