POST-SUMMER FUN CAMP (Ages 5-10)
AUGUST 30 THRU SEPTEMBER 3rd, 2010
Kids sign up for one or more of these five days of pre-summer fun before we kick-off the day camp season. Each day features a special show or trip, swimming, arts & crafts and sports and games.

Hours: 9am-5pm; Before Care 8-9am; After Care 5-6pm

DAY CAMP 2010: 

Y's Kidz (Ages 3-6)
Y’s Kidz is a diverse recreational program designed to maximize teachable moments and encourage mastery in our youngest campers. Days are filled with a variety of activities including swim lessons, sports and games, art projects, songs, nature, science, and special shows or attractions in camp. For swim lessons, campers are tested and then grouped by YMCA swim levels. For all other camp activities, campers are grouped by age.

In order to be accepted into Y’s Kidz, children must be toilet trained and able to participate in this group program.

Hours: 9am-2pm; Before Care 8-9am; After Care 2-6pm
Location: Held at the Ridgewood YMCA
Staff Ratio: 7 Campers to 1 Staff Member

Camp Pamacka (Ages 6-13)
One of the oldest day camps in Bergen County, Camp Pamacka is a traditional summer program that gives campers the opportunity to expand their talents and interests, build self-confidence and create lasting friendships. Days are packed with games, swim lessons, recreational swimming, sports, camp songs, special trips and theme parties each session.

The CATCH Kids Club encourages daily physical fitness and promotes social interaction and group play. There are optional Mad Science and Drama Workshop specialty programs available each two-week session.

Hours: 9am-5pm; Before Care 8-9am; After Care 5-6pm
Location: Held at a Ridgewood Public School & the Ridgewood YMCA
Staff Ratio: 10 Campers to 1 Staff Member

Teen Trip (Ages 11-15)
Pre-teens and teens expand their horizons on day trips to area tri-state hot spots such as water parks, ballgames, the NYC attractions, and the Jersey Shore. Each morning YMCA team building exercises start the day ensuring a fun and fulfilling experience for each participant. Whether you sign up with a friend or on your own, every week there’s the opportunity to make new friends.

Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm (Determined by Destination)
Location: Meets at the Ridgewood YMCA
Staff Ratio: 10 Campers to 1 Staff Member; Limit 40 Campers/Session

Baton Twirl & Dance Sampler (Girls Ages 6-14)
This 4-day sampler introduces girls to baton twirling, dance routines, pom pons and ribbons. Twirlers are grouped by age and ability. In an accepting and nurturing environment, Director Patti Wojtowicz and her expert instructors encourage each twirler, helping her to learn new skills and develop her individual potential.

Outdoor Education
Over 12,000 students and teachers visited Camp Bernie last year as participants in our Outdoor Education program. The program serves schools throughout the tri-state area and accommodates grades K-12. Our programs are in accordance with the New Jersey Department of Education’s Core Curriculum Standards.
