DAY CAMP 2008: (June 23 - August 22) (click programs for more info) Y's Kidz (Ages 4-6) Rated the #1 Day Camp in Bergan County by The Record, Y’s KIDZ is a multi-disciplined, recreational summer program that engages young children in five program areas: swimming, art, music, science and sports. Each program area is designed to maximize teachable moments and encourage mastery. To be prepared for camp, children must be toilet trained and able to participate in this group program. Camp Pamacka (Ages 7-13) Camp Pamacka is a recreational day camp program that offers a variety of activities to build skills, friendships and self-esteem. Every session has a theme that is creatively incorporated into the camp activities, visits and attractions. The specialty programs, tied into each session’s theme, keep activities varied and focused from one session to the next. The YMCAs character development program is woven throughout Camp Pamacka. Teen Trip (Ages 12-15) Teens expand their horizons with different daily trips each one-week session exploring the major attractions in the tri-state area. Morning YMCA team building exercises start each day ensuring a fun and fulfilling experience for each participant. Some of this years schedule includes: Jersey Shore, Tomahawk Lake, Bogota Gold & Sports Center and Ripley;s Believe Itt or Not. Baton Twirl & Dance Sampler (Girls Ages 6 & Up) Director Patti Lynn Wojtowicz is a NJ Twirling Association Teacher, Judge and Board Member. She and her staff of specialists teach girls baton twirling, dance routines, pompons and ribbons. Twirlers are grouped according to age and ability, and develop skills, coordination, poise and confidence. Girls 7+ are offered the opportunity to march in the Ridgewood Fourth of July Parade. Each participant receives a free competitive quality baton and T-shirt.
