Camp Pamacka
For over 35 years, Camp Pamacka has offered children ages 6-13 the opportuniity to expand their talents and interests, build self confidence, and create lasting memories and friendships.
Pamacka days are packed with swim lessons (taught under the direction of our certified YMCA Aquatic Directors), sports, camp songs, games, special trips, theme parties and of course, laods fo fun!
This summer, we're also offering exciting Specialty Camps sure to satisfy all campers!

INCLUDED IN EACH TWO WEEK SESSION
• Art projects using recycled materials to raise environmental awareness and spark creativity and imagination.
• Camp-wide charitable event in support of community agencies and non-profit groups.
• YMCA swim lessons to promote personal water safety and to learn and improve swim skills from beginner/Polliwog to advanced/Flying Fish.
• Sports lessons and game play to foster teamwork and to learn and improve sports and motor skills.
• Camp songs to encourage participation, camp unity and leadership and provide the opportunity for organized
silliness and fun.
• Field trip for education and recreation in a different learning environment and the opportunity for responsibility in a supervised setting.
• Trip to Graydon Pool to practice swim skills learned in camp and enjoy outdoor recreational swimming and beach play.
Does your child have a specific interest or hobby? Pamacka Specialty Camps give campers the opportunity to spend more time this summer doing what they love. Campers will spend 5 hours each week focusing on their specialty and the rest of the week enjoying their regular Pamacka activities like swimming, arts and crafts, games and songs.
DANCE
Love to dance? This camp is for you! Explore different styles of dance and song including pop, contemporary and hip-hop. Learn basic moves, fun choreography, sing your favorite songs and put it all together into a routine. No prior dance or music experience needed. Available weeks 4 and 8.

Learn the fundamentals of karate in a non-competitive environment. Our Karate speciality camp emphasizes selfesteem, the development of spirit, mind and body and is also loads of fun! Available weeks 1 and 6.
LEGOS
An exciting introduction to Lego creation! Campers will learn about construction, design and teamwork skills. This is a hands on camp for LEGO novices to enthusiasts. Available weeks 2, 4, 7 and 9.
SOCCER
Love soccer? This camp will teach soccer fundamentals including dribbling, shooting, passing, trapping, games and good sportsmanship. ! Available weeks 3 and 6.
ART
Campers - get your creative thinking cap on! Design and create your own unique works of art, using a variety of techniques and materials including clays, paints and more! Available weeks 3 and 5.
BASKETBALL
For the basketball lover, this camp will strengthen key basketball skills including passing, shooting, dribbling and team play and good sportsmanship. Available week 7.
HOCKEY
The perfect way to introduce your child to the wonderful world of hockey. A safe and fun way for your hockey star to learn the skills of the game including puck and stick handling, shooting, passing, team play and good sportsmanship. Available weeks 2 and 8.
CREATIVE KIDS
From music and crafts, to magic and cooking, this week will be filled with a vareity of exciting new creations and discoveries! Available week 9.
SPORTACULAR
This camp has it all for your all around sports fan! Each day will feature a new sport including soccer, basketball, wiffleball, and more! Available weeks 1 and 5.

HOW TO REGISTER
ONLINE REGISTRATION: Registering for YMCA Summer Camp 2013 online is easy! To complete and submit a registration form online, please click here. Upon receipt of your form, we will call you for your credit card or payment information. At that time, you may choose to pay your balance in full or opt to pay a $100 non-refundable per child, per session deposit. Full payment will be due May 17.
Campers must be Ridgewood YMCA members in order to participate (memberships begin at $50 per year). If your child is not a member, you may purchase a membership during your online registration.
In order for your child to attend summer camp, we also require medical forms to be filled in by your physician. Medical forms may be downloaded below.
PAPER REGISTRATION FORM: If you prefer, you may download and complete a registration form (PDF form available below) and submit to the Ridgewood YMCA via fax (201.493.0606 attn: Joyce) or mail to Ridgewood YMCA, 112 Oak Street, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.

Camp fees include a $100 per session deposit. All deposits and membership fees are non-refundable.
Camp fees may be refunded as follows:
- Cancellations more than 30 days before your session start date will receive 100% refund (minus deposit and membership fees)
- Cancellations within 15-30 days before your session starts will receive a 50% refund (minus deposit and membership fees)
- No refunds will be allowed within 2 weeks of start of your camper’s session.
If your child is absent from camp for medical reasons (a physicians’s note will be required) for five consecutive days, we will attempt to place your child in another session or will issue a credit voucher. There will be no credits issued for vacations, incidental absences, transportation delays or dismissals from camp
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS
Camp Scholarships are available based on camp capacity, demonstrated need and the YMCA’s ability to fund the assistance. To apply for a camp scholarship, please complete the Financial Assistance Application at the bottom of this page and return to Megan Heller at 201.444.5600 x375 or email mheller@ridgewoodymca.org. All requests for camp scholarships are confidential. Completed camp scholarship applications must be submitted by April 14, 2013.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR
Every day, campers should bring a backpack, a healthy lunch and afternoon snack, a water bottle, sunscreen, sneakers, a swim suit and towel. Please label all of your child’s belongings. All left items will be donated at the end of summer.
DO NOT BRING
We are a nut free camp so please do not send your child to camp with any products containing nuts. Also, please do not send your child to camp with electronics (iPods, Nintendo DS, etc.). The Y is not responsible if items are lost or stolen.
MEDICATIONS
Please note on your child’s registration form any special medication (prescription or non) that he/she needs. Medication must be stored in your child’s backpack in its original container and with complete written instructions.
